İlker Guclu is an Industrial Engineer and has been actively working in industry-focused training and consultancy since 2003.

Born in İzmir, he attended Bornova Anatolian High School and İzmir High School of Science. He placed among the top 100 nationwide in national university exams and studied Industrial Engineering at Boğaziçi University, graduating with Honors.

He began his career in 2003 as a researcher at TUBITAK TTurkish Industrial Management Institute where he contributed to the design and delivery of a number of industry-oriented training and consultancy programs. His main work areas included R&D engineering, product development engineering, DFMA (Design for Manufacture and Assembly), Taguchi robust design, statistical process control, quality management, performance management, strategic management, marketing management, financial management, business development and supply chain management and optimization.

While pursuing a professional career, he continued academically: MSc from Bosphorus University Industrial Engineering (2006) and PhD from the same department in 2015. Since 2016 he has served as a faculty member in industrial engineering departments at foundation universities, teaching courses on design, planning and analysis of production systems and supply chains.

As of January 2024, Guclu has delivered 250+ trainings focused on supply chain management and planning, reaching 2,500+ mid- and senior-level managers and staff from 500+ different companies. He has also completed consultancy projects with both global and national corporate clients to improve management and planning processes.
